Our Events
WID focuses on programs that encourage women to become leaders in their careers and dynamic members of Denver’s design community. Varying learning environments provide guidance, resources, networking, skill development and learning by example from the many strong female role models within the industry. Amongst our many events, at least one per year features a woman speaker of international significance.
- Large Program Events
Two to three major events per year showcasing multi-disciplinary speakers from the local community. Format is usually a panel discussion, single speaker or 8×8 presentation. - Networking Events
Opportunities for professional networking in casual environments such as happy hours, book group and networking lunches. - Conversations
Discussion groups, often over breakfast or lunch, offer thematic focuses such as small business issues and maintaining work/life balance. - Community Outreach
Team participation and community involvement in charitable activities such as Habitat for Humanity, Race for the Cure, tree planting and Colorado UpLIFT career fairs. - Hard Hat Tours
Construction site tours of various local projects provide unique opportunities for learning from our peers. - Classes
Learning opportunities including computer, discussion, hands-on, and seminar based formats on topics ranging from software training, business practices, and others benefiting our membership interests and needs.
