I moved from Washington, DC, to Colorado in ’99 to go to grad school and to find a place I wanted to stay and build a life.  Now, after 11 years in the field, I find myself continually challenged and stretched by my profession, so that in spite of the long hours and lack of riches, I still enjoy it.  I have worked on an unusually broad spectrum of project types and have found that management experience seems unavoidable to those who are capable and can be persuaded to accept it.
